The 1903-1906 period is a transitional one
during which appeared : a new breech block includind a three-part extractor, a new
helicoidal recoil spring to replace the former leaf spring, new flat toggle buttons with a
transitional toggle safety made of one part (to be soon discarded). Many of these
transitional Lugers which bear only some of these modifications are historically very
interesting to analize, in order to try to understand when such or another improvement
