Bolt released
Bolt cocked and retained by the sear (mauve color)
Put the gun at "safety", that is cocked, and with the cocking handle caught in the safety slot. Insert a loaded magazine. Pull the cocking handle back from "safety", and allow the breech block to go forward until held by the sear (yellow circle below).
The gun is now ready for firing. For single shot firing, press the end of the change lever marked "R" (green arrow above). That is from the left of the gun to the right.
Trigger (green color) depressed On pressing the trigger, the sear (mauve color) is disengaged from the bent on the underside of the breech block. The breech block goes forward under the action of the compressed return spring.
Depressing (red arrow above) of the tripping lever
The tripping lever, the end of which protrudes into the casing, is depressed by the bent, thereby allowing the sear to rise under both the action of the extended trigger spring (blue arrow above)
Upward rotation of the tripping lever under push of the up arm of the sear spring (green arrow)
Sear and tripping lever in 3D view When bent of the breech bold no longer depresses the tripping lever, the latter is automatically pushed upwards by the upper arm of the sear spring (green arrow above). The tripping lever is stopped in its rotation by the lower face of the sear (black circle above).
Continuing forward, the two "horns" (red lines above) on the breech block face contact the base of the cartridge and push it from the magazine into the barrel chamber. The extractor (yellow arrow above) engages the groove on the catridge base. The firing pin, which is solid with the breech block, strikes the cartridge cap to fire the charge. Under the explosive force, the breech block is driven rearward at great speed the empty case being held by the extractor's claw. The ejector, which protrudes into the runway between the two "horns", contacts the base of the empty case which is hurdled through the ejection port on the right side of the gun. Continuing rearward and compressing the return spring, the breech block is held again by the sear. This terminates the cycle of operation for single shot firing.
To shoot again, the shooter must release the trigger in order to let the tripping lever bent get back, and reingage (blue arrow above) the sear.
By pressing the right end of the change lever market "A", the tripping lever is pushed aside from the path of the bent on the underside of the breech block. Automatic firing will continue as lond as pressure is maintained on the trigger or until the magazine is emptied.
Care and cleaning
No oiling is required; the gun is design to function without the use of oil. The bore of the barrel can be cleaned with a rifle pullthrough, but must be removed first, as the pullthrough weight is too long to go through the ejection opening. For storage, the breech block and barrel should be greased or oiled.
